Made of FSC-certified ash wood in the light grey shade: dust, the Silas dining table is from the collection of Dutch brand WOOOD. The Silas series has a contemporary modern look and offers a good basis for the interior.

Material

The table top is made of ash wood (finger jointed), has been given a sanded finish and is lacquered in the colour dust. The base is made of metal with a matt black powder coating. Ash is a slightly soft wood with a tight, straight grain. The straight grain allows ash wood to be bent well, which makes ash wood very suitable for the furniture industry. Finished ash wood is strong and hardwearing, but untreated ash wood can show a lot of movement and yellow quickly. Sanded ash gives a neat, smooth appearance. Brushed ash has more character and band sawn ash wood has a very robust and rough look.

Maintenance

Treated ash wood is easy to clean with a slightly damp, clean cloth. Stains on untreated ash wood can be resolved with an absorbent, clean cloth. In case of stubborn stains, ash wood can be easily re-treated. Sand the wood to 180-grit paper, then ash wood can be well protected with an oil, wax, varnish or stain of your choice. Untreated ash wood is not suitable for outdoor placement.

Stability and safety

For furniture higher than 50 cm, we recommend paying particular attention to wall mounting. Installing the anti-tip device prevents accidents and stops the furniture from tipping over.

Delivery

The dining table is delivered in one package and is easy to assemble using the supplied assembly instructions. To protect hard floors, place felt glides under the legs.
