Material

A wool rug is characterized by its soft grip and slightly stiffer structure. The rug may shed quite a bit at first, which is part of the process of this natural fiber. Loose fluff can be easily removed with a vacuum cleaner with a furniture brush. If the natural fibers are colored, they are also susceptible to discoloration. Keep the rug out of direct sunlight.

A cotton rug has a soft, breathable structure and feels comfortable underfoot. New cotton may experience slight deformation in the early stages as the fibers settle. This is completely normal and is part of the natural fiber process. In some cases, cotton may also shed a little, but this usually disappears after a short period of use. Cotton is sensitive to stains and may discolor when exposed to direct sunlight.

Maintenance

To enjoy the rug for as long as possible, it is recommended to vacuum it regularly without a brush and to rotate it regularly so that no walking directions appear in the rug. In case of stains, it is recommended to use a dry cloth to absorb the stain with a dabbing motion. Rubbing causes the liquid to penetrate deeper into the fibers and remain visible. Loose loops and piles can be pushed back into the rug using a crochet hook. In the case of a high-pile rug, stubborn high piles can be cut off.
