Material

A rug made of viscose is characterized by its velvety grip and silky appearance. Initially, the rug may shed considerably; this is a natural characteristic of this fiber. Loose fibers are easily removed with a squeegee or a vacuum cleaner with a furniture brush. As natural fibers are dyed, they may be prone to fading. To prevent this, keep the rug out of direct sunlight.

A wool rug is known for its soft touch and slightly firmer structure. In the beginning, the rug may shed; this is part of the natural fiber's behavior. Loose lint can be easily removed with a vacuum cleaner using an upholstery brush. Dyed natural fibers are sensitive to light; keep the rug away from direct sunlight to avoid discoloration.

Maintenance
